Musicals For Kids and Kids At Heart (Moi!!!)

I’ve been looking forward to this month because of two great shows here in Manila – The Phantom of the Opera and Potted Potter.  However, searching for a trusty househelp and getting someone to babysit two active preschoolers while we’re out on a date have both been futile efforts.

We’d still be able to get our dose of music madness though as there are plenty of musicals lined up the rest of the year.  The great thing about these concerts and musicals is we can watch them together as a family.

We’ve already bought tickets to DISNEY LIVE! MICKEY’S ROCKIN ROAD SHOW at the Araneta Coliseum this September.  We’ve seen both Disney Live! and Disney on Ice last year but we just can’t seem to get enough of our fave Mickey and his Gang.  If you’re Mickey fans like us, that advantage of Citibank’s 20% off promo which has been extended until August 15 – so grab your tickets now!

While browsing through TicketWorld’s site, I came across these two musicals that the entire brood can also watch together.  PETER PAN, A Musical Adventure in Neverland and HANSEL AND GRETEL, A Children’s Musical will both be shown at the Star Theater at the CCP Complex.  Both shows are presented by Kids Act Philippines. Ticket prices are also very affordable at only 400 pesos (Students get 15% discount!)

Come December, Atlantis Productions will take us to a whole new world with the Asian premiere of Disney Theatricals’ newest stage musical, DISNEY’S ALADDIN.  The show will run at the Meralco Theater from November 16 to December 9 .  Ticket prices range from 500 pesos to 1500 pesos.

That’s four concerts/musicals to watch during the last quarter of the year! Do take your kids and the entire fam to at least one of these shows and enjoy wonderful music together.  😀

  1. Thanks so much for sharing this. We’re skipping Mickey for now because I think she’s more into the “singy” type which is why I’ll definitely look at those musical plays you posted! Much appreciated!

  5. That’s so cool..musical for both parents and kids to attend together. I haven’t brought the kids to one yet.

  6. This is cool. Haven’t experienced watching foreign musical play, but I used to watch local musical and theatrical plays when I was in highschool and I really enjoyed them. I also wish my daughter could experience it when we go to Manila this December.

  7. I’d love to watch these shows too but CCP is a bit far from our place. I am really entertained whenever I watch the cartoon versions of these musicals. More so, their lessons never fail to teach us adults a thing or two 🙂

  8. It is a must-watch show. 😀 How I wish I have enough money to watch this.

  9. yey you’re watching the Disney Live show!!! 🙂

  10. Love to watch those musicals too. I remembered before when I was in college, I used to avail of any opportunity to watch stage plays and musicals. Now, it’s more to children na.

  11. Wow, Disney! My son will love to see them especially Mickey Mouse. He loves Mickey much!
